Who Am I, Really?
Beyond the Ego’s Résumé – An Eastern Wisdom Journey to Sat‑Chit‑AnandaThis Eastern Wisdom journey into inner freedom for sincere seekers ready to move from anxiety and fear into peace, clarity, and the fearless Self that is never diminished, never threatened, and never lost.
Why this workshop?
Your résumé can look impressive. Your calendar can be full. Yet your inner world can still feel restless, anxious, or strangely empty.
This 2-hour live workshop is for people who look “fine” on the outside—good job, responsibilities, a full calendar—but still carry a quiet ache inside.
Together, we’ll gently explore, using Vedantic, Yogic, and Buddhist wisdom, how to shift from “I am my role” to “I am the one who notices all my roles.”
We’ll use the simple image of a fragile pot of stories floating in a vast ocean to help you feel the difference between living as the pot and resting as the ocean of Sat-Chit-Ananda—your own deeper, steady presence.
You can organize this workshop for your own group – friends, colleagues, teams, office– with a minimum of 10 participants joining online from anywhere.
What We Explore?
In this workshop, we bring Eastern wisdom into the heart of modern life.
We’ll look at why the mind keeps creating a subtle “something is wrong” feeling—even when your life, on paper, looks fine.
We’ll notice, in real time, the difference between Purusha (the quiet one who is aware) and Prakriti (the thoughts, emotions, and situations constantly changing).
We’ll explore Sat-Chit-Ananda —pure Being, Consciousness, and a deeper kind of okay-ness—not as an idea, but as a living taste of your own presence.
We’ll use the simple pot–ocean image to see how the ego writes its stories, tightens around stress, and how those stories can gently loosen.
We’ll discover how the Gita, Upanishads, Yoga Sutra, and Dhammapada are not just ancient books, but living guides for inbox stress, meetings, family tensions, and late-night overthinking.
And we’ll do all this with metaphors, gentle humor, and guided practices, so the wisdom doesn’t stay in your head—it settles into your body, breath, and nervous system.
What You Will Experience?
✦ Inner Outcomes
Start to understand why your mind keeps buzzing and creating dukkha—even when nothing is “wrong” on the outside.
Notice, in real time, the difference between your changing thoughts and moods and the quiet Seer that’s always there in the background.
Get a felt taste of a quieter, more spacious awareness beyond roles, stories, and constant thinking.
Begin to relate to yourself as Sat-Chit-Ananda – a deeper sense of Being, Consciousness, and a quiet inner “I’m okay” that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
✦ Outer Outcomes
Find yourself pausing more and responding more wisely in emails, meetings, and conversations, instead of reacting from old ego patterns.
Build a simple toolbox of daily practices—like self-inquiry, short mantras, and brief reflections—to steady your mind during real-life stress.
Bring a clearer, softer presence into leadership, parenting, and service, so people feel more seen and safer around you.
Leave with one specific 7-day practice plan that fits your life, so this isn’t just a nice workshop moment, but the beginning of a real shift.

Throughout the workshop, we anchor insights in classical texts:
Bhagavad Gita
Self-knowledge and freedom from suffering through right seeing and right action.
Upanishads
The river-to-ocean movement – the individual merging in the reality of Brahman; Sat-Chit-Ananda as our true nature.
Yoga Sutra
Purusha and Prakriti, the Seer and the seen, and the end of suffering when the Seer abides in its own nature.
Dhammapada
The importance of self-training, guarding the mind, and recognizing that purity and impurity are one’s own doing.
These references are always presented in simple, modern language so they can be immediately applied to work, family, and daily life.
Some of the experiences your group will share:
The Pot and the Ocean
A vivid metaphor that makes the ego and the Self easy to recognize.
Dukkha Audit
A guided reflection on how subtle suffering shows up in the last 24 hours.
Gunas as Characters
Tamas (Mr. Couch), Rajas (Ms. Hyper), Sattva (Mr. Saint-Ego) – humorous yet insightful.
Purusha–Prakriti Practice
Seeing thoughts, emotions, and roles as “seen” rather than “I.”
Four Paths, One Self
Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, Raja – four doors into the same room of self-realization.
Nididhyasana
A short contemplation to rest as the Seer and let the teaching sink in.

Girish Jha — Your Guide for This Journey
Girish Jha has devoted over 46 years of his life to the study, practice, and teaching of Eastern Wisdom — not as a philosopher, but as a practitioner who has lived these teachings through the full spectrum of human experience.
What sets Girish apart is not only the depth of his knowledge — which spans Vedanta, the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, Buddhist insight, and mindfulness — but the rare ability to make ancient wisdom immediately felt and usable by modern professionals navigating real careers, real relationships, and real pressure. He has coached and mentored professionals, doctors, army officers, educators, homemakers, and sincere seekers across many years and many occupations.
Teaching is Living
His teaching uses vivid, precisely chosen metaphors drawn directly from the original teachings — the noisy marketplace vs. the quiet temple, the mind as a phone with 30 apps running, the illegal tenants of the mind, laser vs. scattered light — that make deep principles not just understandable but immediately applicable.
Each session with Girish is simultaneous teaching, guided practice, and a reflective dialogue. He creates a psychologically safe, respectful, and deeply authentic space where participants can explore, question, and practice sincerely — where the group itself becomes a living Satsang (community of truth-seekers) in which each person's sincere attempt instructs the whole group.
Voices from the Journey
Participants across professions — from doctors and executives to homemakers and teachers — share what this work has meant to them.
"This workshop gave me something no management training ever did — a way to see myself clearly, without judgment. The pot-ocean metaphor alone was worth the entire session."
Dr. Anita R.
Physician, New Jersey
"The Dukkha Audit stopped me in my tracks. I realized I'd been carrying quiet suffering for years and calling it 'just life.' Two hours changed my perspective completely."
Priya S.
Educator & Yoga Practitioner, Arizona
"I've read the Gita three times. This was the first time I actually felt it. Girish has a rare gift — wisdom that lands in the body, not just the mind."
Michael T.
Senior Executive, California

Eastern wisdom is not about escaping life; it is about seeing clearly, living steadily, and remembering who we really are in the middle of daily life. This workshop is an invitation to bring that wisdom into your own circle – to laugh together at the ego’s pot and to taste, even briefly, the peace of the ocean.
If you feel called to explore “Who am I, really?” with your community, you are warmly invited to organize this workshop for your group.- A word from Girish Jha
